Studio Dominik Krauss

 

Dominik Krauss is a German-born graphic designer, art director and curator based in Berlin. He has a reputation for utilising a trans-disciplinary approach on designing art projects for artists, institutions and art publishers. He has collaborated with White Columns New York, Mousse Publishing, Sadie Coles HQ, Vitra Design Museum, Lenz Press, Formafantasma, Ableton, Netflix, Galerie Mitterand and Whitechapel Gallery London, artists Alejandro Cesarco, Les Lalanne, Nick Mauss, Yvonne Rainer, William Kentridge, Florentina Leitner and Thomas Ruff.

 

Krauss has also worked at London’s legendary design consultancy Graphic Thought Facility designing comprehensive publications on exhibitions of Urs Fischer, Helen Frankenthaler, Richard Prince, Ed Ruscha, Pablo Picasso and Tom Wesselmann. He has gained experience teaching students on design courses around London at the Architectural Association, College of Communication and Kingston School of Art.

 

Krauss’s curatorial practice began curating shows at art spaces in Leipzig, New York and London. Recently he went on a sabbatical undertaking independent curatorial research at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. There he developed Aura Los Angeles, a documentary short film and publication as a manifesto to support cultural institutions.
